Mr. Jessie Caraballo (Touring Drummer for Marc Anthony)

Jessie Caraballo was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on February 14, 1985. Now at only twenty-four years of age, he has managed to forge a career that few people twice his age achieve. Currently playing drums, timbales, and percussion with Latin superstar Marc Anthony, Jessie dazzles with his fluid style and technique. Jessie's God-given abilities were seen early on, at age six, when he began playing drums with his family band. By the time he was fifteen, he went on his first one month tour with the Christian band El Trio De Hoy. This began a professional career which would see him playing concerts and local clubs in the Orlando, Florida area. By age sixteen, he landed a gig with Pop/Latin singer Brenda K Starr. This led to many ither opportunities, including recording and performing with Huey Dunbar, Tito Nieves, Frankie Negron, Charlie Cruz, Michael Stuart, and many others. Jessie has also worked with noted producers, among them Sergio George, as well as such clients as Walt Disney World. Numerous television appearances include: the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Early Show on CBS, ABC's The View, The Today Show on NBC, The Latin Billboard Awards and World Music Awards. Jessie is completed a nationwide tour with Marc Anthony, Alejandro Fernandez and Chayanne in 2005, and he has already played most major venues throughout the U.S., Europe, and South America. Aside from his duties with Marc Anthony, Jessie also devotes much of his time to performing with New Jerusalem Church, which he also attends.

Mr. Michael Malgoza (Tarpon Springs HS / Brahama Percussion)

Michael Malgoza is an experienced percussionist whose past includes stints performing and instructing with Tarpon Springs High School, Brahma Percussion from USF, Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps, Dr. Phillips High School, Cypress Creek High School, Rollins College, the University of Northern Illinois, and others. He is extremely well-versed in the field of marching percussion.

Brahma Percussion from USF

Brahma from USF is an indoor marching percussion ensemble based in Tampa, FL. An extension of the University of South Florida Athletic Bands, the ensemble consists of approximately thirty-five performing members made up of students from the University, as well as local community colleges and high schools. The members range from fourteen to twenty-two years of age, and perform on a variety of percussion and electronic instruments. This performing arts ensemble participates in competitions both nationally and locally, under the organizations of Winter Guard International (WGI) and the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit (FFCC). Competitions and performances are held in large theaters and gymnasiums to allow for costumes, body movements, drill, and props. These elements help set the ’stage’ on which a musical ’story’ is conveyed to an audience of fans, parents, supporters, and judges. Auditions take place in November, with rehearsals beginning in December, and competitions/performances taking place between February and April. In only its second season of competition, the ensemble was promoted to the Independent Open class and competed among several successful groups from around the country. We are completely self-funded, with dues paid by each member to offset the cost of running the organization. Dedicated staff members donate their time in organizing and instructing the group, all in an effort to educate and inspire young people to be happy and successful people - not only in music - but in life as a whole.

Fastest Hands Competition sponsored by Cornerstone Music

This will be a voluntary competition amongst the attendees of the Central Florida Percussion Festival. We will have several prizes available for the high performers in a few categories. This competition is sponsored by Cornerstone Music here in Clermont, Florida.
